Edible East Bay Covers Frances Moore Lappe and Anna Lappe at BABF

Our client Bay Area Book Festival was covered by Edible East Bay for a Mother's Day event pairing Frances Moore Lappe, author of the landmark 1971 bestseller Diet for a Small Planet, with her daughter Anna Lappe, author of Diet for a Hot Planet.

The session, titled Mother, Daughter, Collaborators, marked the 50th anniversary of Diet for a Small Planet, a book The New York Times credited with changing the way America eats. Held at the Freight & Salvage in partnership with Bioneers, the conversation traced how the Lappes went from author and reader to full creative partners, and touched on the Small Planet Fund, which the pair co-founded and which has since funded work by two eventual Nobel Peace Prize winners.

Programming that draws a multi-generational following like the Lappes' is exactly the kind of high-value session our events work is built to land. Read the full article on Edible East Bay.
